Matt Poyner is the Executive Director of the Development Authority of the City of Milledgeville and Baldwin County (DAMBC) and serves as the single point of contact for Site Consultants and Project Managers looking to relocate businesses and industries to this community, is responsible for working with existing industries in Baldwin County, and manages properties and buildings the DAMBC owns. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and is a Registered Landscape Architect in the state of Georgia.
Poyner was previously the Manager of Business & Industry for the Macon Economic Development Commission. He created and managed relationships locally and statewide with key stakeholders in the business community and assisted with new business recruitment by marketing properties to site consultants and the real estate brokerage community. He established a retention program, meeting the needs of existing businesses, by identifying and resolving issues inhibiting growth and expansion and was instrumental in establishing both the Middle Georgia Manufacturing Council and the Safety and Environmental Group of Middle Georgia. His extensive background in landscape architecture, urban design, and land planning includes work as designer and engineer of multiple residential subdivisions, commercial developments, and industrial tracts. He has also worked as the lead for communities on several Georgia Department of Transportation’s TEA-Grant projects for downtown streetscapes in historic districts, utilizing relationships built with the local municipalities, the local residents and merchants, and the Georgia DOT to execute the projects successfully.
Matt has been a Board Member for the Macon Ducks Unlimited Chapter, was a charter member of the Uptown Macon Rotary Club, and was on the Advisory Board for the historic Hay House in downtown Macon. He is currently a member of the Georgia Economic Development Association, the Southern Economic Development Council, the International Economic Development Council, the Industrial Asset Management Council, the University of Georgia Alumni Association, and serves on the board for the Middle Georgia Consortium, the Baldwin County Career Academy and the Middle Georgia Regional Commission. He is married to his college sweetheart Laura. They attend Milledgeville First United Methodist Church and have two sons.
Amy E. Clark-Davis works dually for the Development Authority of the City of Milledgeville and Baldwin County (DAMBC) and Milledgeville Main Street Downtown Development Authority. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brewton-Parker College, IT Certification from Middle GA State College, and is in the Master of Public Administration program at Georgia College & State University. She is a 2016 graduate of the Georgia Academy for Economic Development. Her diverse background includes more than 17 years in banking and finance, as well as experience in the non-profit sector, operations management, compliance, and public relations. Amy has long been a supporter of the community, volunteering with a wide range of community organizations. She is a current member of the Friends of Allied Arts Advisory Board, has served on the Oconee Regional Healthcare Foundation events committee for the past several years, was a founding member of the Oconee Regional Symphony Orchestra, and has lent her graphic art and design skills to dozens of community organizations and businesses. She is also the author of Images of America: Milledgeville, published with Arcadia Publishing. Davis is responsible for public information, graphic design, web content and maintenance, communications, and marketing.
